Mounting Pressure leads to death of Iranian Student
Latest reports stating regarding the death of Mohammad Ebrahimi, a
student
activist during the Khorram-Abad unrest. Mr. Ebrahimi, a student of
Khorram-Abad University, was arrested during long and bloody student
movement that lead to the arrests of many students.
Accurate figures are hinted Mr. Ebrahimi's death occurred two weeks ago,
due to forcible restraint and compulsory threat from authorities of
the Islamic Republic.
Many students and professors of Khorram-Abad University still remain
captive in prison and their conditions at the moment seem unknown.
With the figures pointing at 80 pro-democratic students and teachers
of this University held captive with unknown conditions and with
the heart-breaking news of the death of an innocent student, the
question remains: in what condition are the other prisoners in?
What indescribable torture exists in the Iranian prison?
Amnesty International and other human rights organizations must
realize the reality of the Iranian prison cells. Immediate action
must be taken place in order to insure the health and stability
of student activists and political prisoners.
We call for the immediate and unconditional release of all student
activists and political prisoners.
Freedom, Equality and Referendum: this is our slogan.
