About Haale

Born in Bronx, NY, Haale is a Persian-American vocalist, musician, and

songwriter. Within a year of picking up her guitar, she won over unassuming

audience at the HORDE tour, when she opened for Neil Young to share her

poetry-infused Music.

Blending ancient and contemporary instrumentals with elements of Western

Music, she has created works that simultaneously reflect her lyrical Persian

roots and her American post-funk/rock aesthetic.

She has been featured with her band on Fox Channel 5’s Good Day NY and on

91.5 WNYE. She performs frequently in NYC.

Visit Haale on the web at: http://www.haale.com

We’ll meet at Ravagh Persian Grill at 11 East 30th Street (212-696-0300) for

dinner after the program.

About Shabe Sher

Shabe Sher is a politically and religiously agnostic gathering formed solely to better familiarize less than dextrose Iranian-speaking individuals with the works of such superlative poets as Hafez, Rumi, Saedi, Baba Taher, and over a hundred other great poets. The events are freely structured; that is, you are not required to read, speak, or do anything whatsoever. Simply come equipped with a deep passion for life and a voracious thirst for learning about the Iranian culture.

Shabe Sher is regularly held on the second Tuesday (or Wednesday) of every month at the Bowery Poetry Club.

If you wish to receive notifications for future gatherings and program booklets of poems in advance, please email shabesher@hotmail.com and asked to be placed on the Shabe Sher mailing list.

All submitted information will be held with the highest confidentiality and under no circumstances will be shared with any third party organization. If you wish to be removed from the Shabe Sher email list, please return this email marked unsubscribe.
