We see Iranians who are even president in Israel but we do not see Iranians
in any high positions in any of the Arab states. Iranians in Bahrain and
most of the Arab shiekhdoms are as big of a population as in Israel.
Iranians were a big population in Iraq before the Iran-Iraq War. Many of
them have been even very rich and Iraq confiscated the property of many of
them when Iran-Iraq War broke out. But even before the war, they did not
have any high positions in the Arab countries. Why is it that Iranians do
not get to the high offices in the Arab states but they go as high as
president in Israel? If we say that Iranian Jews are considered as Israel
citizens, how about Iranian Arabs who have been in the Arab countries. It
seems to me it is not that much a matter of being a Jew or an Arab and it is
about being *Iranian*. It seems to me that Israelis view Iranians with trust
as their allies but Arabs do not, even if Iranians have lived in those
countries all their lives. It is ironic that as long as I remember, Iranian
progressive forces have always sided with the Arabs in any Arab-Israeli
conflicts. I am not that knowledgeable in this area and hope folks who are
knowledgeable to shed light on this. BTW we even support the human rights
of murderers such as the killers of Foruhars. It is good that we support
human rights of Palestinians or Israelis regardless of whether they care for
Iranians or not. My intention in this thread is really to better understand
the status of Iranians in various countries in the Middle East and this does
not mean any less supporting of the human rights of the people of
the Middle East.
